Original Commodore 64 power supplies are prone to failure, often outputting voltages that exceed the safe 5.40v threshold and causing irreparable damage to sensitive ICs.
The OVP64 acts as a fail-safe, if a voltage spike is detected, it instantly disconnects the electrical supply and activates a red warning LED, protecting your Commodore 64.
